Sparkling wine is a pleasure for all senses – the gentle fizz, the spirals of the tiny bubbles, the seductive fragrance and above all, the taste and tingle on the tongue. The sparkling wine "Traditionscuvée" is a special selection of superior wines blended especially for the BASF wine cellar. In order to emphasize its exceptional quality, the German word for sparkling wine “Sekt” has been replaced on the label with the antiquated French spelling “Sect”. This expression was used in the turn of the 19th century to describe a high quality beverage. The "Traditionscuvée" is a full flavored sparkling wine with strong yellow fruit aromas and a fresh acidity. It is produced with the grape variety Riesling and a very good aperitif. The taste "brut" means a very dry taste and only a little sugar or almost devoid of sugar. The appetizer of raw shellfish combines well with the "Traditionscuvée". It is very suitable for delicate foods.
