The Nahe is often called the "hidden jewel of German viticulture". The region lies along the river Nahe, which flows into the Rhine near Bingen, and is virtually enclosed between the wine regions Rheinhessen, Rheingau and Middle Rhine - therefore "hidden". What makes the Nahe a real jewel is not only its cool climate, which produces enormously elegant wines, especially in Riesling and the Burgundy vines. The wide variety of soil types in the vineyards is also of interest to wine lovers: About 4,000 hectares of vines grow on around 180 different soil types. That is why every Nahe wine is a unique gem to try!, , Since 1708, tradition, knowledge and passion have been passed on from generation to generation at the Kruger-Rumpf winery. In 2016 it was time again – the dynamic brothers Georg and Philipp took over the management of the winery together. Producing authentic wines – that is the goal of the Rumpf family. Special care is taken to ensure that the climate, the soil, the grape variety, and the personal style are also reflected in the taste of the wine. The heart of the grape variety mirror is the Riesling. But also, Burgundy resorts, as well as Silvaner and Scheurebe are available in the assortment. The approximately 27 hectares of vineyards of the winery is located in the predominantly on the Nahe a small part in the neighboringd Rheinhessen. This means that the Rumpf family can draw on grapes from Germany's most up-and-coming and dynamic wine regions. The steeper sites of volcanic or weathered stone, and those with red, clayish slate seem predestined for elegant, piquant Riesilng wines of great finesse and a light spiciness. , , This semi-dry Riesling is characterized by the typical Nahe soil – slate.  This brings a lot of elegance and minerality to this wine. A wonderful match with seafood and strong sauces.
